10 Mistakes That Lead To ACS RPL Report Rejection

Posted on May 18, 2022 By Paul Thomas

Writing an ACS RPL report is very intimidating for an IT engineer. Their nervousness gains momentum because ACS doesn’t tolerate even a minor mistake.

Therefore, even those with excellent writing skills tend to commit mistakes, which lead to rejection. However, if they know what these mistakes are and how to avoid them, they can write an excellent RPL ACS report.

So, if you are one of those who are planning to prepare an RPL report for ACS assessment, then read this blog. Here, we will tell you about the 10 common mistakes that lead to rejection. Apart from that, we will also tell you how to avoid them. So, read the whole blog attentively.

10 Common Mistakes in Writing an ACS RPL Report

1. Irrelevancy

You must show your ICT knowledge, skill, and work experience. All these things must harmonize with the ANZSCO position you are applying for. In other words, your role, responsibility, and duty details must be relevant to the position you choose.

So, read the job descriptions, responsibilities, and roles carefully before preparing the report. It would be best if you remembered that at least 65% of the details must align with the nominated occupation. If less than that, the ACS RPL report assessor will find you ineligible due to a lack of information.

It will lead to rejection.

Therefore, write only related job tasks taking your position into account.

2. Lack of Work Experience

Keep in mind that the skill assessment of employment before and after the qualification is seen differently. First, check your work experience properly. If your employment episode is done concurrently with another employment, then only one will be acceptable at one time. It would help if you kept this in mind.

The work experience meeting the eligibility criteria is skilled employment as per ACS. However, only such work experience is acceptable for the skilled migration point.

If the work experience doesn’t meet the eligibility criteria, your report will face rejection. ACS will assess it as ‘not suitable due to lack of work experience’.

So, apply only when you find your work experience sufficient.

3. Not Giving Credit

It is a must for you to credit those whose examples, ideas, and diagrams you used to clarify a point. Not doing it will lead to rejection. ACS doesn’t forgive or ignore such mistakes. So, remember this point for a positive RPL ACS skill assessment.

4. Grammar Mistakes

Keep your RPL report free from grammatical mistakes. ACS will find you ineligible if it finds your RPL report with any grammatical mistakes, even minor ones.

So, check your report many times to ensure that there are no grammatical mistakes in your RPL report. Another thing you should remember is that your writing must align with Australian English.

5. Choosing Projects in Haste

The project you choose must allow you to effectively describe your work experience, skill, and knowledge. ACS will check your report with an eagle eye. It will ensure that you have the required skills and knowledge. Therefore, there should be no haste in choosing projects. Remember, your work experience should be so that it sounds eligible for allowing you to work in Australia as an ICT professional.

6. Insufficient Supporting Documents

Without a signed reference letter, your work experience is worthless. Generally, candidates prepare other necessary documents like educational qualification evidence, CV, ID documents, etc. However, they don’t pay heed to work experience.

Therefore, keep every necessary document ready, especially work experience proofs. Besides that, your documents must have all the important details systematically. For instance, stick to the DD/MM/YY format when you write the date of joining and the last day of your job. Keep this point in mind while writing your ACS RPL report.

7. Deviation From the Given Guidelines

Never deviate from the guidelines that ACS has given candidates to write an RPL. The purpose behind giving these guidelines is to provide convenience to the writer. Apart from that, it will also make it much easier for ACS to assess the report.

On the other hand, if you deviate from the guidelines, it will lead to chaos. It will lead to rejection. So, follow the guidelines to facilitate your writing and ACS assessment. To ensure that everything is in order, take ACS RPL review services.

8. Being Partial Towards Projects

There should not be any biased attitude regarding job details and project descriptions. If you pay more attention to a particular project, it will spoil your image. Remember that each project is important to show any skills or talent you have for a proper assessment.

It will also make the authority feel that you think you can do only what you like to. If any task you don’t like is given to you, you will not give your 100% to that. This habit or attitude will hamper your growth. On the other hand, taking every project equally means you can handle any situation.

9. Not Showing your Programming Skills

It is a must for you to have an excellent command of the programming languages used in your projects. Not doing it will make your report colourless. So, mention all the programming languages that you used in your project.

10. Not Relying on Professional RPL Report Writing Services

Writing an RPL report considering all the points we listed here, will be almost impossible for you if you are not a professional. Therefore, you should not be on an ego trip and face the truth. You should hire an ACS RPL report writing professional to get your report written perfectly and excellently. Not doing it can lead to rejection.

Apart from that, there are many benefits of taking professional services. The major ones are free reference materials, professional advice, customer support, and unlimited free corrections. So, take Professional help for ACS RPL Report for a successful result.
