How To Write An ACS RPL For Permanent Residency

ICT professionals all over the world dream of an Australian PR (Permanent Residency). However, attaining this visa requires so much from a candidate.   • The first thing you should do is to recognize and form the Area of Knowledge topic you chose to explain. Enter here the name of the Area of Knowledge.
  • When typing area, give a description of how you have attained the knowledge. Apart from that, you also need to illustrate your command of that knowledge and skill.
  • In your explanation, don’t address all subtopics in the Area of Knowledge. Mention a minimum of two subtopics. Another thing to remember here is to enter the subtopic names in the box.
  • Be concise and clear, and don’t give an unwanted elaboration.
  • You need to limit all paragraphs to no more than one and a half pages.
  • It’s better to show how you earned your ICT knowledge and submitted a total of two projects within the RPL application. Show it in the ACS Recognition of Prior Learning Form.
  • Avoid plagiarism in your content, as it can lead to rejection.
  • It is a must to record the weightage of the claimed ICT knowledge that you earned in the ICT employment.
  • Put two project reports to the evaluation authority. One has to be of the last 3 years, and the other should be of the last five years.
  • Provide a full explanation of the career episode with sufficient evidence when applying the claimed ICT knowledge in the occupation.

Documents you need to submit along with your Permanent Residence Application

The following documents you need to submit when you apply for an Australian PR:

  • Application form
  • Report of Educational Credential Assessment
  • Birth certificate
  • Character certificate
  • Business reference letters
  • Police Clearance Certification (PCC)
  • Nomination proof (if you have)
  • Two passport-sized photos
  • The test result of PTE or IELTS for English proficiency
  • Spouse skill documents if your spouse is applying for this visa with you

The report must show the work experience that you have attained by working in real situations. So, show only practical work experience, not the theoretical one. Apart from that, don’t include fake descriptions to impress the authority, as it can lead to rejection.

It’s a must for you to credit those whose ideas, diagrams, and examples you used in your RPL report.

Leave no room for plagiarism. So, don’t copy from online sources. Just use them only for reference purposes. You can be potentially banned if having plagiarism in your RPL report. So, use online sources only to know the guidelines and format to write your RPL for permanent residency.

Even if you write the report in your own words, check for plagiarism to avoid unintentional plagiarism. It is because ACS uses advanced tools like Turnitin for plagiarism detection.

The job descriptions in the RPL report you write must harmonize with the ANZSCO code list position you chose to apply for.
